BLEEDING

When after a bleeding injury or bleeding , give all necessary steps to stop the bleeding. If you lose substantial amounts of blood, loss of consciousness can occur, a situation of extreme gravity is known as collapse or shock, and death.
However, most injuries are not life-threatening bleeding, although it must take proper care not only to stop the bleeding, but also to prevent infection and other complications.
First, it is useful to distinguish the kind of bleeding. There are three main types: capillary, venous and arterial.

Capillary bleeding

The capillaries are the smallest vessels of the body and also the most numerous. When a lower court opens a capillary bleeding is usually very mild. Within minutes the body's clotting system function and stop the bleeding.

Venous Bleeding

When the bleeding comes from veins injured, lost blood is on his way back to the heart, and has already released its load of oxygen in the cells, so that blood is dark red and flows slowly. Venous bleeding cut, in principle, applying local pressure.

Arterial Bleeding

It is the least common but the most serious. The blood that is released from an artery is bright red and usually leave with great force, often in rhythmic breaks that coincide with the heart's contractions. If not treated quickly a bleeding lesion on a major artery, you may bleed to death in less than a minute. In most cases, however, firm, direct pressure over the wound will stop arterial bleeding, although the process will always require more time than venous bleeding.Types Of Injuries

Soft tissue injuries on

Bleeding may occur from incised wounds (such as cuts, punctures), abrasions (when the skin is separated from the underlying tissues) or avulsion (where areas of skin are torn violently). A small cut to bleed slightly, it was only by washing the wound with soap and water and apply a bandage to keep it clean. Any wound requires more complicated to check with your doctor or go to the ER.ç

Abdominal Wounds

Given the presence of many vital internal organs, a wound that penetrates the abdominal wall need urgent care immediately. Immediately call the emergency number or ambulance to transport the injured. Before moving to someone with an abdominal wound, should be put in supine position, ie lying on his back. If no internal organs out through the wound, we must exert pressure with a sterile cloth over the bleeding wound to try to stop the bleeding. If organs are already displaced by the wound, do not try to return them to your site.Cover with a cloth and apply no more than very gentle pressure to stop bleeding.
