How to make a local copy of all your data on Facebook

If for some reason you decide to leave the social network Facebook, this does not mean you have to lose all data that has been accumulating over the years. Facebook provides a mechanism which allows to download all the files into your account to a local file. They explain how is this procedure.
When making a copy of your data on Facebook, it creates a file which contains the following:
  • Photos and videos shared on Facebook
  • Any entry that has entered the wall (Wall)
  • Comments and conversations I have made since their "Wall"
  • Name of your friends and their corresponding email addresses
But you have to take into consideration that this process of making a copy of your data on Facebook does not store the following:
  • Photos published by friends
  • Personal information from friends
  • Comments left in the profile of your friends
Unfortunately Facebook does not specifically selecting what data you want to lose this copy, thus every time you start the process, Facebook download EVERYTHING.
Step 1: Enter the options section on Facebook (top, right) and enter the option of setting up your account (Account Settings).

Step # 4: As a security mechanism, Facebook does not start automatically copying him. If you receive an email with a link where you can download all their data. The email will be sent to the email address configured in your account.
Note: Depending on how much content you have on Facebook, this process of copying can take a long time.
When you receive the email, Facebook will ask again validated to ensure that you are you (and not a funny you want to copy all its contents).
Note: Facebook offers a second option much more robust. If you press the option of "expanded archive" this adds between the download a full interaction logs on Facebook. These logs include:
  • IP address where suted was connected to Facebook
  • Changes to the status of your account
  • Pending friend requests to accept
  • Event Information
  • Additional information from your profile such as your phone number, hometown, relationship status, family members, etc..
